The basic version allows you to add an electricity tariff in the ViCare app and use it as the basis for tariff-based optimization of the heat pump without requiring a Viessmann energy meter integrated into the system. Activation of Energy Management by a specialist partner in the ViGuide app is also not required. However, household consumption is not taken into account for the optimization and visualization of consumption data.
The basic version is available in some countries, including Germany, for systems consisting exclusively of a One Base heat pump (Vitocal from 2022 onwards) and is automatically activated. If it has been automatically activated for a system, a notification will appear in the ViCare app’s notification center, and the “Energy Management” and “Tariffs” sections will be available in the settings.
In order for tariff-based optimization to work and costs to be saved, a dynamic or time-based electricity tariff must be in place and a Dynamic Assistant subscription must be active in the ViCare app. If an electricity tariff has been added in the “Tariffs” section of the ViCare app and the tariff is active, no further settings need to be made for optimization.
