Do I have to do anything if a power limitation has been configured for controllable devices?
Frequently asked questions
Power limitation via potential-free contacts:
No further action is required.
Power limitation via EEBUS:
If a power limitation (§ 14a of the German Energy Industry Act / § 9 German Renewable Energy Sources Act) via an EEBUS communication interface is configured for at least one controllable device - heat pump, charging station, battery energy storage system or photovoltaic system - in your system, you must establish a trusted connection. The connection is considered secure if a bidirectional trusted connection has been established between the control unit and the controllable device.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Click on “Settings” in the bottom navigation bar and open the „Power limitation" section.
- Click here on the device in the “Controllable devices” section for which a power limitation via EEBUS is displayed.
- Select “Control unit pairing”.
- You will be shown a list of available devices in the network. Select the grid operator's control unit installed at your home with which you would like to establish a trusted connection to your system (most control units have the SKI number printed on the front).
- Once you have identified the correct control unit and opened the device details screen, click on the “Pair device” button.
- If the control unit has been successfully paired, this will be displayed with the information “Paired”.
You have now established a trusted connection from your controllable device to the control unit.
The trusted connection from the control unit to the controllable device in your system must be established by a specialist, in Germany the measurement point operator. You must provide the specialist with the necessary identification data for your system to establish the connection.
To display the required information for your system, proceed as follows:
- Click on “Settings” in the bottom navigation bar and open the “Power limitation” section.
- Click here on the device in the “Controllable devices” section for which a power limitation via EEBUS is displayed
- Select “System identification data” in the “EEBUS connection details” section.
The identification data for establishing the connection between the control unit (grid operator) and an external energy management system are provided by the external energy management system provider.
Note: If several controllable devices with a power limitation via EEBUS are displayed separately in the “Controllable devices” section, a separate trusted connection must be established for each one.
