The CO2 emissions displayed in the analysis are calculated based on your consumption from the public power grid and the country-specific grid power energy mix of the previous calendar year. This is represented by a distance traveled by car based on the average fuel consumption and the respective fuel CO2 equivalent.
The CO2 savings displayed in the analysis are calculated based on the amount of energy you have consumed yourself and fed into the grid as well as the country-specific grid power energy mix of the previous calendar year. This is illustrated by the number of trees that absorb this amount of CO2 within a year at an assumed CO2 sequestration rate.
For systems not located in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland or the UK, an average value is used for the calculation.
