In the table below you will find the error codes and symbols for the ViCare Radiator Thermostat and the necessary actions.

    The batteries will last for approx. one more month. Replace the batteries soon.

    The batteries of the thermostatic radiator valve have run out. It can no longer be operated. Replace the batteries.

     

    "00" appears on the display.

     

    The "Open window detection" function is switched on.

     

    "E6"

     

    Motor fault.

    - Remove and reinsert the batteries. (2 × AA LR6 1.5V, not rechargeable batteries).
    - Reset the radiator thermostat to factory settings and pair it again. If the fault is still present, please replace the device.
    - Replace your ViCare radiator thermostat if necessary.

     

    "E7"

     

    Wireless connection error.
    Repeat the pairing process for the ViCare thermostatic radiator valve.

     

    "E8"

     

    Hardware fault
    - Remove and reinsert the batteries.
    - Reset the thermostatic radiator valve to its default setting.
    - Replace your ViCare radiator thermostat if necessary.
    In the case of a warranty claim, please contact your dealer.

     

    "E9"

     

    Failure to close the thermostatic valve that cannot be automatically corrected. We want to prevent the room from overheating. It is mostly related to the mounting of the device.
    Please proceed as follows to rectify the error:

    1. Check whether the radiator is being heated by an external heat source.
    2. Check whether the radiator is being heated by an existing bypass.
    3. Check whether the ViCare radiator thermostat is installed horizontally and in the heating flow.
    4. Remove the ViCare Radiator Thermostat.
    - Check the travel path of the motor and replace the thermostat if it is defective.
    - Check the function of the thermostatic valve and replace it if it is defective.
    5. Reinstall the ViCare Radiator Thermostat.

    Make sure to use the correct Viessmann adapter, either included in the delivery or purchased through official channels. Try to avoid unknown manufacturers or products. Next, try pressing the button on the radiator thermostat for 4 seconds to trigger the motor to run in the thermostat. If your radiator isn't warm and you still get the message, this isn't usually a problem. Please contact your Viessmann partner if it does not work as expected.

     

    E14 and E15

     

    Low battery level
    Note: The batteries in your ViCare radiator thermostat are almost empty. Please replace them soon with new batteries (2 × AA LR6 1.5 V).

     

    The display is off

     

    - Standby display. Turn on the thermostatic head to activate the display.
    - The batteries of the radiator thermostat have run out. Replace the batteries.
    - Software or hardware failure. Reset the radiator thermostat to its factory setting.
