Can I use ViCare Smart Climate with single-pipe heating systems?

When using a single-pipe heating system, please consider the following:

• Temperature deviation due to the bypass: The thermostats may be affected by the bypass, which can impact measurement accuracy.
• Incorrect temperature readings: Heat radiating from the pipe may be detected by the thermostat, causing it to misread the actual room temperature.
• Premature closing of the thermostat: Due to the heat emitted by the bypass, thermostats may close too early, leading to insufficient heating of the room.

Important: In single-pipe systems, it is essential to ensure that the supply valve is fully open so that enough hot water reaches the radiator and the thermostat can function properly. Additionally, heating through the bypass should be avoided to prevent incorrect thermostat behavior.

We recommend using additional room thermostats, installed separately within the room. These devices detect the actual room temperature more accurately and can improve the control of the radiator thermostats. Installing additional thermostats is especially useful for optimizing temperature regulation. Please note that we do not recommend using ViCare Smart Climate with single-pipe systems due to the limitations mentioned above.
