Self-consumption optimization: PV excess to PV immersion heater
The optimization feature “PV excess to PV immersion heater” allows the full potential of the self-produced PV energy to be exploited. If the heat pump, the household and other devices in the system no longer require energy, the battery (power storage system) is sufficiently charged and there is still a PV excess, it will be available for PV immersion heater. This allows the Energy Management to maximize self consumption before feeding into the public power grid begins.
The optimization feature can be enabled and disabled in the ViCare app as needed. It is possible to activate it at short notice if there is still a PV excess available, but it is too low to be used for the heat pump, for example.
Note: The Energy Management optimization for the PV immersion heater and the holiday program in the ViCare app should not be activated at the same time.
