Frost protection with ViCare Smart Climate
If you use ViCare Smart Climate thermostats, your system ensures that the indoor temperature never drops below 8 °C.
When a room temperature below 8 °C is detected, the thermostats automatically open and the heating system warms the room back up to at least 8 °C.
Important special case: Heating device in standby mode
If your heating device is set to standby, the ViCare Smart Climate frost protection does not work as normal. The heating device overwrites the ViCare Smart Climate frost protection. To avoid this behavior, do not use standby mode of your heating device, especially during cold weather periods. This keeps frost protection of your ViCare Smart Climate components active, but still saves a lot of energy.
If you set your heating device to standby, inform yourself about the frost protection program of your heating device in normal and standby mode. Be aware that the switching to standby mode can lead to unwanted temperatures in your home.
