Can the ViCare Climate Sensor be used as a repeater?

In ViCare devices world, the Climate Sensor and the ViCare Repeater are separate devices. The Climate Sensor is operating on batteries and the Repeater needs a power supply.
The device has the same look but can only work in one of these functions, never in both at the same time.
