Why doesn't Vitoconnect OPTO1 work anymore?

The Vitoconnect OPTO1 is no longer supported for new installations due to security reasons. The main reasons are outdated hardware and software, as well as the requirements of the EU Cybersecurity Directive RED 3.3 (Radio Equipment Directive).
Since it is technically not possible to bring the Vitoconnect OPTO1 up to an acceptable security standard, it can no longer be used.
We therefore recommend the new Vitoconnect OPTO3. You can purchase it from your local Viessmann partner.
