My Wi-Fi settings have changed. How can I reconnect the Vitoconnect to my home network?

Connectivity

If, for example, you have changed the router, the Wi-Fi password or the name of the Wi-Fi, the Vitoconnect must be reconnected to the Wi-Fi. To do this, please follow these steps:

  • Activate the Vitoconnect's access point mode: 
    • Press the operating button A for longer than 5 seconds, but no longer than 30 seconds
    • The LED Vitoconnect LED Signal.png lights up green: Access point mode is active.
  • Open the Wi-Fi settings of your smartphone and connect it to the Wi-Fi “VITOCONNECT-<xxxx>”.
  • Open https://vitoconnect.gateway or http://192.168.1.1 with the internet browser on your smartphone.
  • Enter the WPA2 password on the sticker supplied with the Vitoconnect.
  • Select “Select Router” on the start page and follow the further instructions on the website.
  • Access point mode is automatically deactivated after 5 minutes. If necessary, you can also deactivate it manually by pressing the operating button A again for at least 5 and max. 30 seconds. Access point mode is deactivated as soon as the green LED goes out.
