Open Window Detection

To be able to use the Open Window Detection, you must have equipped the relevant rooms with at least one ViCare Smart Climate Radiator Thermostat.
The thermostat continuously measures the room temperature. ViCare Smart Climate detects an open window in a room by identifying a sudden drop in temperature and automatically closes the heating valve for up to 30 minutes. If enabled, a push notification and a message about the detected open window are sent to your smartphone or tablet. Additionally, the ViCare radiator thermostat display will show “00” instead of the temperature.
You can easily activate Open Window Detection in the room settings. No further calibration is required.

Availability
Open Window Detection is available for all systems that use at least one ViCare Smart Climate Radiator Thermostat, including
- the combination of a connected Viessmann heater and ViCare Smart Climate components
- installations with ViCare Smart Climate components only
